What does handing mean?
The door handing determines which side of the door the hinges will be on and which way the door will swing. This is VERY IMPORTANT to get correct when ordering doors.
A simple way to determine handing is to stand on the side of the door so that it swings toward you. Whichever hand you use to pull the door handle is its handing, left-hand or right-hand. If looking at house plans, here is an easy diagram to help you.
How are your orders delivered?
All of our pre-hung door orders are delivered "knocked down". This ensures that shipping damage is kept to a minimum and also reduces the cost of shipping. Doors and jambs are prepped in the shop, then numbered, making assembly quick and easy on the job site.
What is the minimum order?
We do not have a minimum order requirement. If you just need a single door, or a small moulding order we can help you out, although we may need to add extra shipping costs.
Will my doors shrink?
The panels of our interior doors are designed so that they can contract and expand with changes in temperature and humidity. At certain times of the year the panels may shrink slightly from the stiles/rails, revealing a small area that is unfinished. This is completely normal and can be easily touched up with a touch up stain marker.
What are the payment terms?
We require a 50% down payment of the total order to get it on the schedule, and the remaining balance is due before delivery. We accept checks, cash, and credit cards. There will be a 3% additional charge for all credit card purchases.
